SUPPORT
Questions appearing on this page have been received from MytPRICE™
customers. In certain instances the question has been paraphrased and/or
edited for brevity.
When
I installed the Free Trial version and opened the program, MytPRICE™ just
sat there like a dummy and did nothing. Eventually I had to reboot. Wa
saaaby?
MytPrice, v 3.44.06 and
earlier may not support the screen resolution of your Monitor or Notebook,
particularly if it is a "Wide Screen" model. It may be necessary to go into your Windows Display Settings and change your screen
resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels. ("Wide Screen" is
supported in the next update)
Start
| Settings | Control Panel | Display | Settings Tab | Screen Resolution Slider |
1024 x 768 | Apply | OK
MytPrice
v 3.44.07 corrects this problem by adding many Wide Screen
resolutions, including 1280 x 720 pixels, 1280 x 768 pixels, 1280 x 800 pixels
plus most wide screen and notebook resolutions. If by chance, your resolution is not supported, the program will
so advise and offer guidance on how to set up a compatible resolution instead
of sitting there... doing nothing... and looking stupid.
I
have an expired Ten Day Trial on my computer. When I uninstalled it, some
of the folders weren't removed. Why are they there and can I get rid of
them?
The uninstaller
file only knows what it installed. If a file, not installed by the
installation program, somehow found its way into one of the MytPrice folders, it
can not be removed by the uninstaller. The result is that the folder in
which this file is located as well as the file itself and the
C:\MytPrice folder will remain behind after the uninstaller
does its thing. Occasionally stray files seem to appear out of
nowhere. They just sometimes "happen". We all know... S---
happens!
SOLUTION:
Manually remove the folders and stray file (s). If you're not familiar
with how to do this, it would be prudent to have a person familiar with the
procedure remove the items for you.

I want to put my address and phone number on the bid page (Price Sheet) but I
can't seem to find the page to enter my personal stuff. I went to the help
page (Actions | Help) but could not find the Program Setup (Ctl 4) On my
copy of your software (Ctrl 4) is to modify the T-Shirt label (Price Sheet Name)
on the bid (Price Sheet). Can you help?
(2)
When I first installed the trial the trial software, I did not complete the
address information for my business... now, I don't know how to do that.
SOLUTION:
You have been misled by an anomaly in the E-Manual. An anomaly is a gentle
blameless word that we sometimes use to describe our programming screw ups.
This anomaly is being corrected in the next manual update. The correct
Actions menu item is -- Setup (Price Sheet) Ctrl+7 -- Thank
you for pointing out the error and please accept my apology.
The
Actions | Setup (Price Sheet) Ctrl + 7 takes you to the Program Setup
screen. On this screen, information can be entered that appears at the top
of all Price Sheets. This action can only be executed from one of your
created Price
Sheets. If attempted from a "Master" Price Sheet, the
action is halted and a dialog box guides you through the procedure.
When
I lay out a Price Sheet it won't give a price for 6 colors in the chart
(Quantity Break) for 12 shirts. What's up?
SOLUTION:
Duplicate the Price Sheet you want to build by clicking on the "Dup" button or
selecting the Actions menu item Duplicate (Price Sheet) Ctrl + 3
On the screen that follows, you can give the
Price Sheet a specific name. On the next screen, among other items, you
are asked Display prices for How Many print colors on this Price
Sheet? You would click the button labeled "6". The Cap and
Jacket Price Sheets are pre set to display four color Price Sheets unless you
select otherwise. All other Master Price Sheets are pre set to display six
color Price Sheets.
Click through to the next screen and it is here that you select the number of
print colors that you want to display for each Quantity Break. There are ten
Quantity Break/Price Sets. Each "Set" is color coded. The first
Quantity Break/Price Set on the T-Shirt Price Sheet is pre-set to a Quantity
of 12 items and displays in the color magenta. You can change this quantity to
any quantity of your choice. Strike the "Tab" key and the curser
will skip over the second column in this "Set" and stop in the third
column, Print Colors this Quantity. Enter the number
"6" to display print prices for six colors. Each
Quantity Break /Price Set is laid out the same way.
Note: As you make changes to $$ Prices on these screens, you can observe
the changes to the actual Price Sheet in the WINDOW. The Window reveals what is happening to the first column prices as you make
changes, behind the scenes, so to speak. You don't have to
click through to the Price Sheet to see changes... you see them occur in "Real Time"
After your Price Sheet is set up, you make changes to it by clicking on the "Mod" button or selecting
the Actions menu item Modify (Price Sheet) Ctrl + 4
You can read about these items in the E-manual by selecting Start |Program Files
| MytPrice | Manual or by opening the manual through the Help menu. The
manual can also be printed in B&W or Color.
I installed MytPRICE™
on my computer and a couple months later we had a network installed. I
tried opening MytPRICE™
from a different network terminal, other than the one on which it was
installed. A message appeared advising that MytPRICE™
was not licensed for this computer and the program became inoperable. What
happened?
SOLUTION:
In versions 3.44.05 and earlier (which you had), the anti-piracy module was triggered when MytPRICE™
sensed that a network terminal, other than the one on which it was licensed, was
trying to open it. The newest version of MytPRICE™
3.44.06 (available now) does not disable the program under these
circumstances. It will, however, disable the program if piracy is
attempted.
